Getting Started

Before you can get behind the wheel, you have to be at least 17 years old and hold a valid provisional driving licence. A provisional driving licence can be applied for from the age of 16 if you wanted to ride a moped.

Your Lessons

Everyone learns in different ways and at a different pace, therefor we will tailor a lesson plan that will give you the best chance of learning to drive quickly and passing your test. 

 

We keep a close eye on how you are progressing and after a few lessons we can tell you roughly how many lessons you may need in total. From our experience, learners taking at least 2 hours of lessons a week pass quicker as they tend to remember new driving techniques; however it is your call and we try our best to be flexible so we can fit lessons around your life as much as possible.

Theory Test

Before you can take the practical driving test, you must sit the Theory Test.

Just being able to drive does not make you a good driver. Driving is more than just handling a car; you have to be able to read the road. You are required to understand what road-signs mean and be able to anticipate hazards before they occur. This is what the Theory Test was designed for and we will help you learn all this.

 

The Theory Test consists of two sections - multiple-choice questions and a hazard perception. You are required to pass both sections.

Practical Driving Test

After passing your theory test, we will tell you when you are ready for your practical test.

 

Our instructors will run a mock driving test before your actual test to give you an idea of how the test will be.

 

When booking a practical driving test, check with your instructor to see that they are available. 

When you book your test you'll need:

• Your provisional licence number

• Your theory test certificate number

• A credit/debit card for payment

 

If you have a test coming up and need an instructor to take you to your test we may be able to help. However, we will need to assess your driving beforehand as you may need additional training prior to your test.
